Receive a formal certification in Quranic recitation — connected by an unbroken chain of transmission back to the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ.
“This knowledge is religion, so be careful from whom you take your religion.”[Muslim ibn al-Hajjaj]
Ijazah (إجازة) is a formal permission granted by a qualified scholar to a student — certifying that the student has recited the Quran correctly and is authorised to teach others, with an isnad connecting back to the Prophet ﷺ himself.
The Quran is the only book in the world memorized by millions and transmitted with a verified chain of narration across 1,400 years. An Ijazah is your place in that unbroken chain.
Our teachers hold Ijazah in Hafs ‘an ‘Asim — the most widely read recitation worldwide — and are qualified to grant Ijazah upon completion of the program.
The certificate comes with a documented chain tracing back through verified scholars to the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ — a living miracle of Islamic civilization.
Our Ijazah program is in the Hafs ‘an ‘Asim recitation — the reading used in the vast majority of Qurans printed and recited worldwide.
Upon receiving Ijazah, the student is formally authorised to teach Quran recitation and may grant Ijazah to their own students in the future.
The student must recite the entire Quran to the teacher from memory, with perfect Tajweed, in multiple sessions. There are no shortcuts.
Upon successful completion, the student receives a formal written certificate with the full isnad, the teacher’s signature, and the date of completion.
Online Ijazah has been validated by leading scholars worldwide. Our teachers have granted Ijazah to students in the UK, USA, Australia, and Europe.
The student must have the entire Quran memorized with solid Tajweed. Students who need to strengthen either are guided through a preparation period first.
The teacher works with the student to bring their recitation to Ijazah standard — correcting every letter, rule, and characteristic until flawless.
The student recites the entire Quran to the teacher across multiple sessions. The teacher listens carefully and corrects any remaining errors.
When the student’s recitation meets the required standard, the teacher formally grants the Ijazah — verbally and in writing — with the isnad document provided.
